Thanks a lot for allowing access to the templates, as I very much want to add this little gem to my LIS robot collection.
DUDE! I actually have drafts I started on mking this one. Very hard to do - You did a much better job than what I had in mind. You are master, I am unworthy!
hehe thanks dude! yeah it was hard to do this one! i've been thinking of doing this one for a while too but i just couldn't get the kind of look right! but after a good few trys i settled for this one! You should do your version too!! that would be cool also!!
You make me wanna say that one special scentense
hehe whats that then! is it? 'Danger, Danger, Will Robinson!' hehehe
Wow what an amazing cubee! I have a talking toy of this robot!
Thanks! i wish i had a toy of him! i remember when i was younger i saw one but didn't have enough cash so couldn't get one! not seen once since!
That is so cool. You did a great job!
Extra excellent work on the tread section!
You did it! You rock!
Thanks! it was a tough cubee to sort out his look! but i think i got the overall look of him! But he is not to hard to put together once printed and cut!
Yes, if it had been, ME, I might have reduced the length of the upper body a bit, and increased the length of the leg section, BUT it's all a matter of personal preference, and you are trying to keep it within the Cubee style, and I think you have succeeded..
thanks! i did try shorting the neck and body but it would have made the cubee structure more likely to colapse when fitting the arms in! hehe but i'm pretty please that it worked out well in a cubee form for the most part! and i'm always happy for people to see it and make or improve what i've done! its all good!
This is the sort of thing I would have loved to play around with as a kid...Hell, I'd love to make some today if I had more free time. I guess there were 'aperdoll" sorts of things to buy and cut and paste, but these are even cooler...and you can create your own. I MADE a lot of original stuff when I was a kid, model kits, my own comics, several scratch built sci-fi space craft models of various quality, but never hit on anything quite like this...being customizable, 3D and all. I guess it took the computers, Photoshop, desktop printing and the internet to make it happen.
yeah i know what you mean! if i was doing this when i was a kid i would have alot more!! hehe but we didn't have computers like we do now! hehe all those many years ago!
Yes the internet/computers changes everything. Just trying to find ref photos of characters and vehicles was such a struggle in those days. ANy magazine that came out that had ANYTHING unique photo-wise from sci-fi films or TV was like GOLD to me! Today, you just GOOGLE it and for the most part, there it is!
